Shot is a small to medium sized
neutered male, traditional coat.
Shot is not good with small dogs or cats
or any small critter. He very much wants to work them (and all the dogs in the yard)
all the time, and comes in with the heel nip.
He is always looking for where the
activity is but is only just learning what toys are about. I haven't yet tried him on
the sheep but he doesn't seem to care about them if they are on the other side of the
fence.
In a sentence to describe him, he
strikes me as a farmer's chore helper that wasn't allowed in the house but went everywhere
else with the farmer. Amazingly good leash manners, travels well, is very sweet with
people but could be a problem with small kids (to date, the ones he has seen
he's had no interest in, even if they were throwing toys - he was looking for work
to do) but he is overly sensitive to being grabbed or manhandled.
He was found as a stray & again, was
surrendered to us because of his over-sensitivity to his body being grabbed. He likes
to be petted but a basic vet exam will be a problem. We think part of it may have been
injuries in his past life, as we did find a bunch of old scabs on his back when we groomed
him.
